Hi Michael, Thanks for the advice, this is similar to something that I was discussing with my colleague. Once I've geared the axes and issued a MAH to the master, in the next step I can just issue the slave axis a MAH as long as the sequence parameter is set to immediate and the position parameter ...

Thanks Vincent, Thanks for clearing this up, in that case as this is the slave I will just have to rely on the hard limits. The master has hard and soft limits so am comfortable with this as the drives are permanently coupled together. If I wanted to find this information out is there a manual that ...

Hi Amir, Thanks for the response, this parameter is already set to Yes. The reason for it being greyed out is because the Servo was running. Kind regards, Luke ------------------------------ LUKE BUTLER ------------------------------

Hi, Am commissioning a master slave gantry system and I have just setup the hard and soft limits but have found that the soft limits on the slave drive do not stop the drive as I expected them to do. I am currently setting up the vertical axes independently before I join them with a pick and place ...

Hi, I am using 2198-D057-ERS3 servo amplifiers and have had them running with signals passed over a private ethernet network but for some reason I am unable to view the amplifiers in a web browser when I type the IP address into the search bar. I get an error back on my web browser saying "Access ...

Hi, Using a dual ethernet port processor I recently had to swap all of the devices from port 1 to port 2 and vice versa. At first I attempted to drag and drop devices from 1 network to the other. This caused a problem when I opened up a ladder routine as I saw that all of my tag alias addresses had ...

Hi Fuzzy, I've just tried this and it has worked perfectly. I had previously tried importing the file back into a new project in studio 5000 and other things but to no avail! I never thought to just change the file type name manually! Thanks again ------------------------------ LUKE BUTLER - ...

Hi, I've created a program in V32 but then I have had to flash the processor firmware up to V33 and update the processor in the program to match, no problem. I have noticed that in my file path folder a new file has been created, xxxxxx.ACD_V32 File. Does anyone know if this file can be restored ...

Thanks Philip, We generally use Compact Logix controllers for our applications (5069-L306xxx etc) but I will take a look at that video, thank you.. I thought there might have been a table or list somewhere that gave a description for any system values that can be obtained from a device. However ...

Hi Philip, Yes we are using Ethernet/IP, the Armor Blocks part No. is 1732E-IB16M12DR. The data that I would like to know if it is possible to retrieve information such as the IP address in the form of a string, power supply level healthy, integer values that represent fault codes. Any information ...

Hi, Is there somewhere that gives a list of the available data that can be taken from an Armor Block using the GSV instruction? We currently use the Attribute "Entry Status" to obtain the connection status healthy value but am sure that there is much more available I just can't find any specific information ...

Thanks Ryan, That's great information, in future I'll look for the comms module first rather than processor. As you described, when you create a new module from the backplane the option to select an L71 then becomes available. Many thanks for clearing that up for me. Regards, Luke

Hi Ryan, I think you have just shown me the the missing link! In my drop down of modules I couldn't see a L71, only L81E onwards (see photo), this lead me to believe that selecting an L71 wasn't possible because it was too old. I thought I might have to go down the path of possibly selecting the generic ...

Hi Ryan, My concern is setting up the L71 in the L310ER config. I was thinking of falling back on the option of using messages if it wasn't possible to setup a P&C between the two, but ideally this would be working over P&C. I have recently setup a MSG path between a L306ERMS2 and a 1742-L552 and ...

Hi guys, I would like to create a produce and consume (P&C) path between a 5069-L310ER processor and a 1756-L71 processor. Normally when I set up a P&C path using Studio 5000 I add the module that I want to communicate with into my ethernet navigation tree from the list of available options. If its ...

Hi Vincent, This is exactly my point, the new motor connectors that have come in the 2198-KITCON-D057-L box do not have the orange side arms on. I can't see any difference between the new motor plugs and the old ones (2198-KITCON-D057). I suspect the wrong plugs have been put in the box. We have just ...

Hi Vincent, Yes I have now but it doesn't provide any additional information to the document I referenced in the original post from what I can see. I will be returning to site in a couple of weeks so if the machine is down I will check the plugs against the new version (-L) and post on here if I find ...

Hello, We recently installed some Kinetic 5700 series, D057 servo's. Installation and commissioning went well but after a few days of running we had a fault which turned out to have been caused by a motor plug coming out of the socket. Apparently this is a known issue and amplifiers which are of the ...
