Hi Patrick, Since you are using the data log model, this setting shouldn't have much of an impact on your application. It is still good to have that set to buffer the 200 records per pen. Trend Pro is the newer and more powerful trending tool. I would suggest looking into switching your trend objects ...

Hi Patrick, I will do my best to answer your question here through the forum, but you may need to reach out to our Technical Support team for additional information / checking. When you went through the upgrade process of your project, all of the files should have been there. Did you exclude the datalog ...

Hi Kristopher, Unfortunately this is not a feature of our system today. Trend Pro can be used to provide a historical holistic view of the system, allowing operators to view values of tags alongside FT Alarms and Events information. However, having the ability to record the HMI screens for playback ...

Hi Tomasz, FactoryTalk View v.14.00 is scheduled to be released later this year - Nov / Dec 2023. We aren't able to share any details here around the enhancements that will be coming with that release. Please reach out to your local Rockwell Automation Sales Office / RA Distributor to request this ...

Hi Rominaldo, Not sure what could be going on with your system. There are many things that could cause issues in communications between the HMI and a controller. My recommendation would be to call into Technical Support to walk through troubleshooting with one of our engineers. We would look ...

Hi Mike, The CurrentUserHasCode() function is a runtime only function. While you can develop them in the View Studio environment, the function doesn't evaluate when you test the display because the display doesn't run under any specific user account. This is similar to the behavior seen when attempting ...

Hi Manzato, Do you have that user in the Runtime Security settings for the application? Anything configured in FactoryTalk Security that says that the user can only log on from certain machines, and this new system hasn't been configured with that user? Hopefully this helps. I would suggest ...

Hi Callum, The background of the .Net Control Object is grey. There is no way to change this currently in the application. I will have the engineering team investigate what we can do to expose this property and have it available in future releases. I apologize for the inconvenience. Let me know ...

Hi Tomasz, Unfortunately there is no workaround to this behavior at the moment. When a FactoryTalk View SE Client starts it must perform the "Loading Project" process for each of the HMI Servers in the project to establish a connection with the underlying services for various components of each of ...

Hi Marco, If you test run that display using the play button in FactoryTalk View Studio, does it show values? There is a play button in the toolbar that will allow you 'Test Display' in the development environment. Also, in 'Communication Setup' under FactoryTalk Linx (in the Application Explorer ...

Hi Bob, Not sure if the answer I just provided to Tomasz above helps clear up the question that you had. In general, the modularity of distributed FT Applications allows for the system to be configured to meet whatever requirements there might be. The reason I said the second approach from Tomasz' ...

Hi Tomasz, There are many things that might impact the need to have multiple HMI Servers. Similar to FT Linx and FTAE, where there are limits around the number of tags that can be pulled through the data server or alarms that can be configured in the alarm server, the HMI Server also has limits which ...

Hi Tomasz, Excellent question. You are correct, the method shown in your second example is the better approach. We have a knowledgebase document that shows another example and some information about why the application should be structured this way: FactoryTalk View SE Area Best Practices - Guidelines ...

Hi Marcel, This is actually supported for both FactoryTalk View SE Network Distributed and Network Station applications! We received some feedback that it would be useful in both these cases - our Library of Process Objects for instance is deployed in both Network Distributed and Network Station ...

Hi Adam, They are there for Network Station as well. If you create a numeric display (for example), when you go into the Tag Browser you will see the '@ClientTags' folder in the tree below the HMI Server. You can modify the names through the Tag Import and Export Wizard. Hope this helps!
