That is a bit difficult to assist with as we have no idea all the configurations and details of what your project or application requires If it's simply more memory you require, I would consider upgrading the controller to the newer 1756-L85E which comes standard with 40MB of memory out of the box ...

@ScottT Actually there is no switch on a 1756 Power Supply for 50/60Hz the supply will adjust to operate on either 50 or 60hz for 120/240VAC @Ohno - As Scott stated, it is very unusual for a 1756 Power Supply to fail in such a short period of time, there are systems running for >10+ years ...
