thanks so much for going an extra mile. any chance you explain your experiment which showed multiple overlapps. My gist is that timer was running in the lower priority task - is that right? I am trying to learn rockwell platform.

thanks for great insight! the last question - in my previous example of long periodic task of priority 1 can event task of priority 2 be buffered for execution multiple times in the queue which can obviously can trouble or would it be buffered just once for execution which would ignore all previous ...

thanks for explaining that. what about theoretical scenatio when a long periodic task is running with priority1 - during that period 100 short event task with priority2 were triggered. My understanding is that they will be all queued up untill period task finishes - is that right? Is there a limit ...

Can you please provide more details on how did you conclude that too much current was drawn - you used 2 relay output cards with separate power supplies - is it right? what actually might be happening on the physical level on the board that might explain ...

Great overview which gives me structure. Since CIP can be implemented on RS232 as a carrier i assume that even PLC1 would be capable of the CIP communication - or did i stretch it too far :) ------------------------------ Jan Kowalski ------------------------------
