Not a bad option, but not the best for my application. If I were to set it up this way, I would make the dialog box a panel native to the main panel and toggle visibility with the button. However, there are aspects of the dialog box I would like to keep such as staying open when the screen is changed ...

Exactly, but how do I tell the dialog box if the open dialog button was pressed within navigation panel left or navigation panel right? -------------------------------------------

Something like this would be ideal. What I am having trouble with is identifying if the button on the left navigation panel was pressed or if the button on the right navigation panel was pressed to build the link properly. -------------------------------------------

I will certainly give this a try, but my first thought is it will have the same results. Because I will pass the button's location in reference to the panel it is in and not it's location in reference to the entire screen, the results will be the same. But who knows, I have been wrong plenty of times ...

I do not think this answers my question. I guess another way to look at it is I want the dialog box to open with a position relative to the navigation panel it is part of, not the entire window. Here is a video to demonstrate. Clicking either button opens the dialog at the top right hand corner ...

I am able to use a button to open a popup window. However, I want the popup window to open at a different location depending on the user's action. My main window contains two side by side navigation panels. Both navigation panels can display the panel container that my button is located on. If the ...

Optix is looking for a known operator where the period is, such as +, -, *, etc. The period is not an operator and Optix does not know how to handle it. I think you will need to use a string formatter if I am understanding what you are trying to do. Formatter: (#ManualRev).(#Device2) And have the ...

It is unhappy about the . between the two dynamic links. What does the tag structure of the two links look like? What are you trying to accomplish with the expression? -------------------------------------------

When I go to publish a project on an industrial PC I export to FactoryTalk Optix Application save to my documents folder. I then date stamp/revision the folder it creates for revision tracking. I open the folder and create a shortcut of the FTOptixRuntime.exe and move the shortcut into the startup folder. ...

A full list of formats can be found at this link String Formatter. I see Numerical with and without comma. However, I do not see floating point with and without comma.

I was attempting to upload by accessing settings of the panel by typing the IP address into a browser with a LAN connection. Using Optix Studio is even better.

Setting up my first project to be deployed on an Optix panel. Looking through the WebUI and not seeing any options to upload a project from the panel. I want to be able to upload the project including application files, specifically the .sqlite embedded database file. Does anyone know how this can ...

Designing a netlogic would certainly be the best solution. Another Idea is opening the .yaml file for you logger and manipulating it directly there with search and replace or importing to excell.

Thank you, makes sense. I was working backwards through System.Drawing.Color rather than FTOptix.UI.Colors.

Does anyone know where I could find a list of all of the system defined colors and their RGB value? A list of system defined colors are in KnownColor.cs file; this file links all of the colors to an integer. Where does it assign the color?

Great explanation, I think it convinced me SQL lite viewer is still the way to go. SQlite viewer is installed on remote machines, I copy the database to a non-optix folder and view from there. The viewer has options to query the data as well. The customer almost never needs to see the data. For my purpose, ...

Thanks @Delete. I agree with you, embedded is much easier for use within the Optix software. I think my use case may be a little more unique, should have mentioned in the first post. We sell equipment to several sites. Lets say one site has a catastrophic failure to their system. We want to be able to ...
