It seems by just doing a "Save as" in the broken project it suddenly worked again... (still no applicationfiles) So now it's good again. Very odd. Thank you for your input @asemlucben -------------------------------------------

My issue was the hardware i pointed to for the NTP connection was wrong - So my own fault. So it wasn't really an issue, but nice that Lucben cleared out that it most likely goes to internal clock when not connected.
