Good morning everybody. I have a project using version 12 of FTView SE, I'm going to install version 14, and now I would like to know if the update is possible or do I have to convert to 13 and then 14. Is it just a matter of taking the V12 backup and opening it in V14? What is the correct procedure ...

Hello, yes that's right. So, there's nothing you can do but delete and paste everything again. It's a Global that is not completely global, lol. FTView always has a little extra work, lol. Thanks @Philip Hamilton for the help.

Hello everybody. I would like to know, in Global Objects, I have a Multistate Indicator. And I use it on all HMI displays. But now I want to move the position (Left) only. If I change it in Global it won't change it in the displays it is used in? Why? Or is it possible? Will I have to copy from ...

Hello, thank you very much for the example. And as always, you have to leave the tool to do something it doesn't have. Thanks, @Art Walls and @Philip Hamilton for the comments and help.

I'll try this, but having to generate an error doesn't seem like the right thing to do. If the tool knows that an object is missing why don't they make that reference as an option the way it should be? Likewise, I will have to save a backup of the images so that I can then replace the images that are ...

Hello, could you elaborate further on how to search for the text? When I export the displays I have the .xml files, how can I do a single search in all these files?

Hello, thanks for the clarifications. But so, a rant... 60 Displays average 150 Images average 9,000 searches 5 projects This will be 45,000 manual searches, having to exit the FactoryTalk View Studio tool.

Hello everybody. In Global Connections the difference between the fields (remote) and those without remote is: writes from the HMI to the PLC and (remote) writes from the HMI to the PLC? and also why only the remote has the date and time?

I would like to know the advantages and disadvantages of using a tag in the HMI or pointing directly in the field by pointing directly in the tag browser? Performance and update time, do they influence it?

Hello everybody. I would like to know if the HMI has some cyclical function, for example from 1s to 1s, invert or set a bit or value. What I would like to do is as if it were a "life bit" for the HMI and PLC, so that when the HMI is disconnected from the power supply or has loss of communication ...

Hello everybody. FTView Studio V13 A button to set bit, ok. A button to close the Display, ok. I have a Display, which, with a button, calls another Display of a smaller size above this one (simulating a PopUp). In this Display (PopUp) I need a button to set a bit, and at the same time close the ...

Ok, thanks for the comments, the problem is when we tag for example an array or use UDT, there is no way of knowing what it is without having to open the PLC program, because we only see the ending .x or .[x] Then the description of the PLC tag would help us know which bit or index of an array to select. ...
