I found my own answer. I changed Parameter 622, Slip Comp Bandwidth from the default of 10 to a value of 4. That corrected the surging speed problem. ------------------------------ DougPLC ------------------------------

I am starting up a new PF755 (40HP, HD) which is replacing a 1336 Plus II for the Bowl axis of a 30 yr old horizontal Centrifuge. This axis has a huge 2ft diameter Bowl - lots of inertia but otherwise low resistance to rotation. If it were to coast, with no product, from 1950 rpm it could easily take ...

Great answer. I love it when I don't have to scan thru 700+ posts for what was such a simple answer that hit the mark exactly. Thank you again. ------------------------------ DougPLC ------------------------------

I need to change the hardware input filter for a faster response in my migrated proogram. I see that the only time I can modify the filter settings is when I start with a new program. Is that defined as one never having been uploaded? What is the best way to migrate my logic, data tables and configuration ...

Summary: How can I create a new AOI from an existing routine? In ver 31 I would like to create a new AOI from logic already proven in a Ladder file subroutine. Is there an easy way? Thanks in advance. ##HL38

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I had never noticed the Merge feature. I tried it and it seems to have worked pretty well although there were some CPU parameters that I was not sure that I was choosing the correct parameter (going from an L18 to a 5069-L310). I first created a temporary remote ...

Summary: How to best merge logic and tags I have a few CompactLogix projects that I would like to cut and paste into a new application. What is the best order for merging them? The new system uses the 5069 CPU and I/O and the program will need to be completely reorganized with some I/O moving to distributed ...

TJ is correct. The best thing is probably to download Studio5000ver28 and install it on the same PC. Unlike many programs you can have a number of versions installed simultaneously. Only detail is that you must have a Tech Support contract to download any of the versions. ##HL38

Just a thought - I once saw a guy running a gas blending valve that fed a gas mixture into an engine. He had to provide a very slow change of the ratio of flamable gases so he would keep switching from Manual PID mode to Automatic PID mode. He would let the PID run in Auto for maybe 5 secs out of every ...

Well I guess I'll answer my own question. 300,000 is a fixed value and is not dependant on any external conditions. ##HL40
