That's correct. For Allen Bradley PLCs, when it comes to which Emulate3D features are supported, the PLC is (almost entirely) not relevant. (There are some exceptions.) But the version of Logix is very relevant.

Yes it could be that emulator visuals are already loaded, as per the thread LogicIQ referred to. Or it could be that the devices you're trying to emulate aren't supported. If you're using CIP Class 1 (while you wait for Echo network card support), then I suggest that you look carefully at the NIC in the laptop. Typically they tend to be quite underpowered in laptops, whereas desktop NICs tend to have more on-board features. This page in the online help might be useful. ...
