I did see that earlier response. Since I am on my laptop, there wouldn't be another server to go to. I did delete my existing and selected IP Address to create a new one at 127.0.0.1. This still did not work. Are you suggesting that I change my laptop name and then change it back? ---- ...

I have a similar issue where FT Updater worked until version 35 or 36 of Studio 5000. I have also tried the various fixes but it just won't allow me to connect to the local server, even though I am a local admin. I've reset the FactoryTalk Directories (both local and network) but still no luck ...

Go straight to factory reset. Every PV800 I have received in last year or so has needed a reset to function correctly. Clearly an issue from the factory but no one will admit it. ------------------------------ US_Canuck ------------------------------
