EDIT: moved to Drives and Motion community. -FL Using a powerflex 525 2.2kW unit to drive an unblanced load with heavy interia which tends to flctuate in actual rpm. Can this be controlled with dynamic braking? ------------------------------ steven crowther ------------------------------

many thanks TJ. This is a replacement for a Powerflex 4 driving an oven chain. We get frequent jams and subsequent damage and no trips i.e. no protection. I do find Rockwell sites a little difficult to navigate ##HL33

Hi TJ The oven has circulation fans,exhaust fans and turbulence fans. Quite old equipment and all fans were DOL starting. Turb fans simply not capable of running at ambient or below 150 deg C.
