I am trying to different comninations of cable connections, motors and drives. I have never had all 6 drives in the group have the error. Usually it's one or two. All drives are at FW 7.13. ------------------------------ Carbo ------------------------------

This is a new installation. I have done 4 of these identical setups before and have had 1 or 2 drives with an S45 error but never all 6. And I never has the Motor Data Range 17 error before. When I isolated the 2 drives that enabled me to see the motor and encoder, all I did was take te other drives ...

I have a question about something that came up during my troubleshooting. I had 6 drives in the group. 4 of them had a S45 fault. None of them could read the motor. Sorry for not being clearer. I just kind of dumped this info out with no explanation. I used 2 drives, one with the issue and one that was good. It looks like the issue is following the cabling and not the hardware or configuration. I will look into the cabling fuly and see if I can find something. ...

I isolated 2 drives from the group and bus. I swapped cables and groups and get various results. Once I isloated the drives, I could now see the motor of the one in question. But no matter the connection, Drive 1 could read the motor but not the encoder. I assume the S45 fault ...

When I use the web server, the motor and encoder don;t show. It says not configured. It still may be the feedback connection. The other servos give me the motor and encoder number but they all have an S45 fault which is usually a shielding/grounding issue which I am working on. ------------------------------ ...

Thanks I checked the wiring at the plug and in the cable. It checked out. I have 6 servos in the group. No1 and No3 are giving faults. These 2 are identical motors and configuration. No1 has the Motor Data Range 17 message on the drive. Studio5000 says Feedback1CycleREsolution and No3 says ...
