I removed the variable on the base object and added an Alias of kind equal to the PLC udt. Then referenced the alias in all the objects inside. I then added to the screen and pointed alias to the PLC tag. It still does not work. -------------------------------------------

Does this only work on the actual hardware. I tried running it with echo and emulator and it says it cannot run the modules.

I compared a project that does not give this error with the one that is in notepad and do not really see why this one is having this issue. Is there somewhere where you could tie a dynamic link to version? I cannot find it

it also seems like it will not allow me to change the IP address of the commdriver I change it and when I open it back up it goes back to the old address.

I have attached the log file. When I hit save file I get this message. I am also getting these errors. I am using echo to test and I am able to go online with it ok in studio and it browses tags ok. The IP address in the driver is set correctly at 172.16.182.131 but it is still showing old ...

I must be since I see the alarm tags import ok and if I do a default alarm in optix triggered off a bit it works ok. I just do not get the factory talk alarms to show up.

No they are alarm based tags inside studio 5000. The same type you would use for a 5500 display in the past. I trigger them but I do not get a alarm in Optix. I am using emulator with echo but still should work?

I have created several alarm tags in the PLC program, I also added them as tags to optix. What do I do to setup Optix to trigger alarms off of these tags when they go active. I am using Echo and emulator right now as well.

How do you tie the fill level of an object such as a tank or box to a tag. So, as the tag increases the object appears to fill up. Would like to create a simple rectangle box that I can fill horizontally as value increases.

So each button uses a key convertor for the color of the button. You also have the boolean for each button as the command. Can you create a udt inside optix that contains a tag for the boolean as well as the key convertor reference. Then on the top of the button add a variable of that type. ...
