I am creating a program for to remove a SLC 5/05 to a 5380 Compactlogix, unfortunately I will have to keep the old IO rack for now and use a 1747-AENTR. I have six extruder zones that require heating and cooling, I also want to read the status of the thermocouple as outlined in the NT8 user manual. I ...

I replaced a failed PF 40 with a 525 successfully added it to the IO configuration with the embedded ethernet port AOP. The add on instruction the integrator uses to map the VFDs into the program required a different data type (only for the input data) that I was not able to reproduce. I had to copy ...

I have installed RS 485 networks before and a couple of them were so short that termination resistors were not required. I have read as much as possible about Powerflex 525 Multi drive mode, and everything states they are required. The drives I just setup have a cable length of one foot and are running ...

You are correct, I had the IO configuration in Rack Optimization. I switched to the appropriate faceplate, and it works as intended.

I am trying to use a few faceplates for 1734 and 1794 IO. I have been able to get one to work but the others (specifically digital inputs) are giving me errors. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have experienced this myself. In my case it was an imported bitmap that I had resized in the software. This caused long screen changes and sometimes the touch screen would become unresponsive. There is a document that describes performance considerations, though I am unable to locate it at this ti ...

I was troubleshooting a Flex Pack3000 DC drive and would like to find any information about the field supply board. I was unsure about the voltage coming out of it and think the bridge may be bad, though I don't have a scope to see for sure. ------------------------------ John Riehle ------- ...

I have a question about what is meant by Structure of the datatype (STRUCT of UINT). I used a MSG instruction to read the fault code from a drive, it worked fine but that was only because I made the destination tag a lot bigger than I think it needs to be, a 10 element DINT array. ------------- ...

Replacing the module solved the problem. I still don't understand why this happened; the previous module was new out of the box. ------------------------------ John Riehle ------------------------------

I have done everything in the technote, save replacing the module with a new one. Is this something I did? I am confused as to what caused this. ------------------------------ John Riehle ------------------------------

I installed a 1734-IT2 in a 1734- AENT Point IO setup. Everything seemed fine until I set the configuration for one channel to read milivolts and the other for thermocouple. Now I am getting code 16#031c error. I have checked all the physical parts of the module and swapped bases but it still is faulted. ...

I am creating a bar graph and binding an expression to the height attribute, except that my height keeps going in the wrong direction(downward). I know that the coordinates increase from top to bottom and left to right and I dont think I can make a "negative" height. Is there something I am missing? ...
