Hello Mica, Thanks for your response. We have placed an order for another motor. But I want to ask what is the procedure with Rockwell to repair the faulty motor? I tried to connect to the link you provided in your reply but I was getting an error feedback.

Hi Vincent, I replaced the communication cable between the encoder and the drive. Unfortunately, we don't have a spare motor to confirm the test. I can't see any physical damage on the encoder, probably as you said earlier the absolute encoder may be bad. The light is coming out of the fibre ...

Hi Vincent, after replacing the external encoder. Attached is the module information on sercos module and the axis servo drive. I also attached the picture of the absolute encoder of the MPL-B680B-M. Hi Vincent, I did as instructed... I attached the result of my findings below. The shaft feedback encoder to the drive was broken picture attached. I also attached the sercos module information. Is there any other thing I need to do apart from replacing the broken encoder? Regards, ...

Hi Vincent, I didn't change motor either load a new program... This machine was working well before the power outage. after the power was restored the kinetix 6000 stucked on phase 3. I checked all the cables they are intact. Could it be that the feedback encoder is bad. Do you advise i change this ...

Dear all, My Controller CompactLogix 5335E entered into a major fault due to the attached fault code. (Type 03) (Code 16). Please, I need more clarification on what may be the cause. I have cleared the fault, but I am trying to prevent reoccurrence. Thanks for your support. Femi.
