Hi There is a lot of power to the new Device Handler Object and Motion AOI's with the K5100. These are 'Guided Tours' they show you examples of how to use the AOI's with the drive and a Logix controller to do the simple operations you will need to do with your system. You can either import the logic ...

The device handler UDFB is used to manage the interface between the drive and the micro800 That tells you if the drive is faulted, activated, etc. The MSO UDFB is used to activate the drive. That must be executed before the MAJ UDFB. ------------------------------ Amedeo Rubino || Global ...

Hi this is not possible. You could use a micro800 in between but the PV800 does not support this. ------------------------------ Amedeo Rubino || Global Portfolio Engineering ------------------------------

hi So, this may be tough to diagnose, but let's try. First off, if you increase/decrease the torque, does that change anything about the loaded configuration? i.e.: the amount of 'bumping'? Is it possible that the torque you chose is not what is required for the loaded condition? Next, ...

Hi, I have just tested the MAT using the Micro850E with the Guided Tour logic which is typical logic to get familiar with the controller+drive. You can directly change the values of the MAT while the rung is 'false', and when you make the rung 'true' the new values will take effect. I did not require ...

hi, you can change the MAT instruction dynamically; you just have to 'false' and true the rung out. You cannot keep the rung 'true' and change the values, is that not how your UDFB is responding? I am trying the MAT now, but with a Logix controller and I can 'false' to 'true' the rung and it changes ...

hi, the UDFB's operate the same way the Logix AOI's operate. What is the homing mode that you are using? Better yet, can you post the values for all the data you are using in the UDFB? If there is another instruction that is interrupting the MAH, like the MAS or MSF, stop those from executing. ...

hello I am using UDFB 2.2 that is included with the demo units. It can be found here: Guided Tours for Kinetix 5100 Servo Drives (custhelp.com) - it is the Architecture 2 - Micro Explicit Read/Write. Is the Dynamic Move UDFB something that you downloaded from the samplecode website? If ...

hello, I have tested this just now, 2080-LC50 UDFB2.2 and Kinetix 5100 V4. it works for me, the sequence of the STO operation is: STO request occurs STO inputs are removed from drive E500 present on UDFB and drive once STO condition is cleared (ie: safe to proceed) STO inputs ...

Hello, you can perform Class 3 Messaging to an external device only. The I/O assemblies are only available using a Logix based controller as you mention. You can use the example MicroLogix 1400 or Micro800 Class 3 messaging examples on the SampleCode Library (or available from your local Rockwell ...
