If you are able to upgrade to FT Echo 3.00.00 we made a change that allows you to specify whatever IP address you want using the dashboard. This was always possible using the API in previous versions, so now it has parity in the dashboard. Note that you'll still have to have at least one controller ...

Hi Carl, Thanks for responding. Unfortunately, at this point, I don't have any information to communicate regarding a breakpoint feature in FT Echo. I will communicate your feedback with the product team.

Hello SKY, To access program tags you want to use a string like "Controller/Programs/Program[@name='programName']/Tags/Tag[@name='tagName']" I spoke with the dev team about this, and they will be adding more documentation around this in a future release. Thanks for the question, and I hope this ...

Are you running as a normal Windows user or as Administrator? Are you running the Echo Dashboard with limited privileges? A couple things to check: Verify that you have FactoryTalk Services Platform installed. It should be part of the FactoryTalk Echo installation media. Looking at your error ...

Could you give us a few more details? You mentioned installing Echo on a different computer. Do you have multiple PCs involved here? Where are you downloading from/to and what is installed on each? You may already be aware of this, but just a few notes: in order to use the Echo Dashboard to download, ...

Hi Jhon, You may already be aware of some of this but let me clarify what's going on with the versioning here. The Service API and Controller API versions are independent of each other and also can be independent of the overall Echo product version. The Service API version is tied to the version ...

We will release updated versions of the API along with future versions of the FT Echo product. I don't have any information to share on when the next version will release, but stay tuned to the normal channels (like this forum!) for announcements about future releases.

Hi Jhon, The Controller API does not currently have a single function call to register multiple tags. As I'm sure you know, you can create your own helper function to do this in your own application. Accept an array of tag specifiers, call "RegisterTag" for each, and return the array of handles. ...

Hi Jhon, I'm happy to help you here. It might be best to start a new thread to ask your specific question, so it doesn't get lost in this announcement thread.

Ronald, I'm glad this worked for you. I will check if there is a KB article for this issue and if not pursue getting one created. Thank you for the suggestion.

Hi Jhon, When you say your are implementing an interface for Echo are you using the FT Echo SDK to create your application? If so, have you read the SDK documentation that is installed with the product? You can find it under the "Rockwell Software" folder in your Start menu. Look for "FactoryTalk ...

When you say you have 9 devices emulated I assume you mean you have 9 emulated controllers, all with downloaded projects running? 9 devices is quite a lot for a single Server, and requires a lot of CPU resources to run. We recommend at least 2 CPU cores per controller. Please reference the product ...

What version of Logix Designer are you using? We've seen this issue in V33.00.00, and in beta/pre-release versions, and it has been resolved by moving to Logix Designer V33.01.01. Can you try this in V33.01.01?
