10/21/2025 - Installing Factory Talk Studio Revision 16 upgrades previous versions of FT Updater to 4.30, Thus far FT Updater 4.30 Agent will not connect to FT updater 4.30 Server. Work Around was to downgrade to FT Updater 4.20 Agenr with 4.30 Server. Engineering at Rockwell is working the issue. ...

Thank you, Lesley, for explaining that MAJOR difference between 5400 NAT and the way the 9300-ENA and 1783-NATR work. I assume I missed it somewhere in the documentation, because external public devices never needed to be NAT mapped to vacant Private IP addresses with the 9300-ENA or 1783-NATR. ...

Please clarify something in your post for me? When trying to access the NAT translated device from the same VLAN on the public side, you will need to add a public to private translation as well for every 'public' device that needs to communicate with the private device. The Private Device (PLC ...

The static NAT that you show is what we were trying to do and the 200.200.200.X addresses in your example don't arrive at the Cisco. The stratix 5400 doesn't translate them, even though it claims it does.

This post is a bit of a rant and I apologize if I offend anyone, but I just finished spending six hours over three days on the phone with Rockwell "Experts" to learn the Stratix 5400 could not do NAT in the manner that the old reliable 1783-NATR does. If have achieved what I tried please share, I would ...

Based on your video you are thinking that Updater will take you from Control Flash Plus 5.00 to 6.00. Is that what you're expecting? I am not an RA official commentor, but the purpose of Updater is to apply patches not to update between versions of a software package. That still has to be done ...

It has worked for me from October of 23 until August of 24 when this bug popped up. Not that there haven't been issues. But keeping a dozen Rockwell Development PC patched it has been priceless.

The PCDC has a July 2024 Patch RollUp but Factory Talk updater over a dozen days into August, still shows the June 2024 Patch Roll Up as current and nothing in need of download. Also where is the promised 4.20 version??

Update - A rescan revealed patch did not deploy. Logs show no reason for install failure other than socket termination. RDP into agent and found free space below 6GB which means patch roll up could not be deployed. Freeing up space and patches deploy.

It has been Five (5) months now and Factory Talk Updater V4.10 (still latests and greatest) says I need to patch my CCW13 and CCW21 systems, but fails when I attempt to do so and if I goto the PCDC and patch manually it does not acknowledge the patching. I know its free software, but it would be ...

Three or Four Months ago I stumbled on a great tool the FactoryTalk Updater. Turns out it has been out for sometime, but not hyped much at least in the automation circles I travel. Having setup a Server, Client and a dozen Agents it is now quite simple each month to roll out the latest patch sets when ...

All DH+ Nodes are shown as expected in RSLINX. The Project Path is correct as it has been for 10 years. My change control application uses RSlogix5 to upload the program Every Other Day and that has been working flawlessly. ------------------------------ Robert Lightfoot ----------- ...

That's what was strange. RSlinx Data Monitor showed the internal clock counting seconds just fine. When RSLogix failed to connect I checked it through RSlinx first. My suspicion is that given the age of this equipment I have a communication module failing due to Capacitors aging. I've seen this with ...
