Crosspost with Drives forum (5) 755 drives were updated to series B V20 ethernet boards (from v14 series A) . AOP's were updated to v20 and SYNCs performed on the property pages and when all was done, 2 drives out of 5 have different tags datatypes so they have a subset of available tags . Missing ...

Thanks, I did see that in the help file. I guess the ambiguous part of it for me was understanding what I/O actually was in this system. I assumed it was module based physical IO, but some languages refer to anything that communicates with an output device like a printer or video as I/O also. Just being ...

I gave up putting much effort into decoding what goes where. Typical of anything RA puts on the web, the names don't make enough sense to do it easily so why try very hard? For example tell me how it makes any sense to put Logix Designer (software) into Automation Control section and not into Advanced ...

OK, its just what I assumed then. Yet another argument for the return of the standalone Task monitor . Redundant controllers can't have the web page enabled at all so that makes 2 reasons. Thanks Shane ------------------------------ ≈≈≈≈Splash≈≈≈≈≈ ------------------------------

I understand the task monitor has been moved to a web page that has to be enabled. It would seem that fi you aren't using the built-in NIC of the L82 processor you can't reach that web page? It takes me to the web page of the EN2TR module and I can see some data, but its not the display I expect from ...

Is this setting worth looking into? I have several tasks that are computational only and some that are MSG only . Since those don't use any actual I/O modules it seem like it might be worth doing unless it considers MSG's to be I/O. The help file is quite sparse on the topic so here I am EDIT: moved ...

That is just what I ordered - I really wanted a single PWM output as well but that was not an option anywhere. Will your simulator be part of the free software as well ? ------------------------------ ≈≈≈≈Splash≈≈≈≈≈ ------------------------------

Since I have ordered hardware, yes, this would be the perfect time. I glanced at Echo but as I recall it wasn't cheap and only covered a few models. I have not use emulators much so I hoped I could start with Echo. Do you recall your approx price for Echo ? $1k, $5k, $10k ? (I know I can ask my ...

I've got no application in mind, It'll just be to get familiar with the platform using the new software. I have a real interest in multiple NIC capabilities. I use the 5380 series for a lot of field locations because the independent nics allow redundant comm paths and that has been a life saver in many ...

The time has come and I need a 2080 to hang on the rack and play with. It's not going to do anything, I just need to use it to learn about them . What model number is full featured enough to become a programmable wall decoration that I can try programs on before deploying to actual hardware ? ---- ...

Worked like a champ. I wish the data storage structures were adjustable in size, I only need a few values from most of the targets . but it works fine. ------------------------------ ≈≈≈≈Splash≈≈≈≈≈ ------------------------------

I've always used a gateways for Modbus but I'd like to have a go at doing ModbusTCP on an L81. I thought there was a section on the PDCD site where user submitted routines were saved and I thought I recall seeing examples there but I can't find that section anymore. Are there any such example routines ...

Just to add to the info, I was using windows 10 natively. Using server 2022 now and I'm pretty sure it happened on that platform as well. Really rare though ------------------------------ ≈≈≈≈Splash≈≈≈≈≈ ------------------------------

I believe I have had that happen as well.... I didn't catch what did it at the time (Rockwell stuff crashing is not unheard of) but that scenario is certainly possible. I was editing for a long time before that so who know what the cause really was. ------------------------------ ≈≈≈≈Splash≈≈≈≈≈ ...
