Form over function seems to be a recurring theme in RA offerings. Work it may... but shine it must ! ------------------------------ ≈≈≈≈Splash≈≈≈≈≈ ------------------------------

Are you losing DH connections or Ethernet Connections? If Ethernet have you confirmed the firmware versions of the PLC5's are CIP compatible ? There are minimum version/revision levels and maybe that plays a role here? ------------------------------ ≈≈≈≈Splash≈≈≈≈≈ ----------------------------- ...

Hi Phil Intended use of Optix in this case will be to negate the need for the web client option of GE's offerings which is bulky and tough to get my head around. Also made out of old tech and is expensive and I personally think Proficy is a dying platform destined to walk the path of Wonderware. So ...

it wouldn't be a device, it would be a windows server running Proficy Historian v2022. I've never tried pulling anything from one of those other than through iFix natively (well one time I used DDE to Excel but that doesn't help) . Does Optix have a local short term historian by chance? If it did ...

I played with Optix at the roadshow and am now intrigued. Can Optix display graphs from historians? Even historians from other vendors like GE for example? ------------------------------ ≈≈≈≈Splash≈≈≈≈≈ ------------------------------

Sadly because my rep didn't send me a renewal in November I have been fighting since january to get my TC back and can't reach these links. I have a new contract number but the site doesn't know about it yet. I will yell at my rep AGAIN and see how far the manual will get me. Thanks for the screen ...

I know some folks have used a single MSG instruction with multiple MSG paths and payloads instead of a bunch of sequential MSG instructions. I have never had the time to explore that but I have a project now that is a good candidate to try to work out how to do that and if its worth the effort. ...

Now Filip, I was brought up on EVERSI and you know RA COULD support EVERSI if RA wanted to. Just think of the money they could make selling Floppy drives and media again. :) I could find my old Disk Copy program and "Back Up" my licenses at will. Sure was an easier time. Ahhh the good old days. ...

There is literally nothing connected to it. I just use it to develop data handling routines. I AM using the same PS for both points though. ------------------------------ ≈≈≈≈Splash≈≈≈≈≈ ------------------------------

I noticed that was set to 1 module after I posted (and there was one physically there that was not in the tree) so removed the module and changed it to zero, but even with that set for Zero the same error occurs. This is just a dev plc so I can do whatever needs to be done, and I don't even use the ...

This is what I wound up doing. A couple tweaks after this point for diagnostics . Resembles a Pachinko Machine in Execution but it works. EDIT: Wow that attachment is unreadable. I'm gonna try that a different way, but I can't delete the attachment... EDIT: attachment deleted -FL --------- ...

I have this L16ER with v32.011 firmware in it. It presented with a problem where is didn't see its own embedded IO so it was suggested to reflash it. I went to the download page to see if there was a later revision of v32 and nothing above v30 shows as available. Controlflash on my dev machine shows ...

Support once was surprised that the Flexera dongles would still work on later versions of Logix, it just became a matter of a convoluted method to activate them where as the CMStick was an easier proposition. At least that's what I recall. I have a Flexera on my Win10 laptop and it works too but again ...

I have used the same win7 desktop machine for over a decade and it's time to restart for another decade. OpsSec want to crush my old machine and I need to break old habits and get current anyway so I have several questions and would like opinions from those who update far more often than I. I tend to ...
