Hi Dimitri! This looks like an anomaly but I would still verify configuration on switches: If all VLANs are actually created on the switch 224 (with the "show VLAN" command) Double check trunk port settings across all switches in the ring (native, allowed VLANs) Compare "show interface Gi1/X trunk" ...

ILPOWER is related to the PoE (Inline Power). This KB says the reason is improper grounding. https://rockwellautomation.custhelp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/1138928/loc/en_US#__highlight Cause Stratix switch does not have proper grounding or is not grounded at all Solution Ground the switch. ...

Michael, The PRP design guide and the application technique are a good start. The guide has some examples of star/linear/ring topologies with PRP, and what is not allowed with PRP. IAB helps when designing a large system with PRP. I would recommend going thru its labs first to get familiar with how ...

You can redirect any CLI output to a file using TFTP, FTP, SCP and other protocols, or write to a file in the internal flash or SD flash. If running a TFTP server on the PC: show logging | redirect tftp:// / The file will be in the TFTP root folder. Need to allow TFTP thru the firewall. ...

Hi Jan, For CIP (EtherNet/IP), you can start with this document Ethernet Reference Manual (ENET-RM002) The main part of this document provides a good overview of Ethernet, TCP/UDP, IP, network infrastructure and so on. Appendix A gives an overview of CIP application layer RA ...

Steven, I would also look at the Stratix user manual chapter 3 - NAT - Configuration Overview. It has diagrams for each use case, including same or different VLANs. Stratix Managed Switches User Manual (1783-UM007)

Hi Duncan! Are Stratix switches licensed in FTNM? Also, if you have REP topology in FTNM, it should monitor and show REP faults even without SNMP traps (will check every periodic scan, not immediate alarm like with traps). Have to license REP switches for any REP alarm to work. If you do have REP switches ...

Alex, It is probably better to connect to the PLC directly, but for resiliency I'd do a ring (DLR) with the Stratix 5700, PLC and drives.

Alex, I tried in IAB, no warning - I think the IAB allows the second port to be connected in linear to things like drives, I/O etc, but does not have an exception for another managed switch. I'll check with the IAB team on that, but you may want to email to iab_support@ra.rockwell.com Thank you ...

Hi Alex, Looks like you are connecting a DLR device to two Stratix switch ports without DLR. This is not supported. See Deploying DLR within a CPwE page 2-63. The issue with port being blocked is that the Multiport smartport includes "BPDU Guard" setting. This is done to prevent another switch to ...

Kelvin, please use ENET-TD010 (CPwE Resiliency) for the recommended REP architectures. This document refers to using multiple VLANs per segment, for example page47: "Multiple VLANs can exist in a ring topology. Use cases have been validated for Layer 2 traffic within a VLAN and for Layer 3 traffic between ...
