Hi everyone, On two occasions now we have had wide-spread loss of visibility events on our FactoryTalk v10 SE HMIs. Both times we found thousands of FT diagnostic logs reporting "connection could not be established on route ControlLogix..." The issue resolves itself within a minute or so. The data ...

Hello, How would I setup a SQL query to retrieve disabled alarms with disabled time, disabled user and comments for FactoryTalk View SE v10? The alarm status explorer has this info but you have to click on each alarm to get the disabled time/user. Not very useful for reports. Thanks! ----------- ...

Hi, Does Rockwell recommend using whitelisting software with a FactoryTalk version 10 environment? If so, any suggestions or things to avoid? Thanks. ------------------------------ Michael Miller ------------------------------

Hello, Is it possible to remotely reset the system health of a T9110 AADvance processor? I'm using Workbench 1.0 with firmware 1.34. Thanks, ------------------------------ Michael Miller ------------------------------

I have a redundant 1756-L75 ControlLogix setup, where my CPU load around 75%. In order to reduce the load I'm considering disabling the 'Synchronize redundancy data after execution' setting in each program. My understanding is this shouldn't be an issue since my periodic tasks are between 250 & 1500ms ...

Hi Phillip, Is there a way to determine what the module fault code was for past events? It does recover on it's own, which sounds like is leaning more towards a comm fault. There are a couple dozen event logs in the remote rack's EN2T indicating connection time out, error receiving data, attempting ...

Thanks. Sounds like the only way to see CPU % is using the faceplate. Very odd. Hopefully that's corrected in v35 for customers not using FT View. ------------------------------ Michael Miller ------------------------------

Thanks, Phillip. Does that still work if I'm not using FactoryTalk View SE? I could probably setup a PanelView with ME if that would work. Or is the % CPU parameter visible in the AOI? ------------------------------ Michael Miller ------------------------------

Hi everyone, I'm wondering how I can see the CPU utilization on a pair of v33.012 redundant 1756-L85Es? When the processor was in simplex at v31, CPU was around 5%; however, judging by the task scan time I'd say it's around 50% now (taking 240ms for a 500ms periodic task, 10x the time in simplex). ...

Bill, Might have found a relevant Microsoft thread that provides a solution. Right-click your desktop, go to Display Settings and adjust the % scale under the Scale and layout section. You can also apply a custom scale by clicking on Advanced scaling settings. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us ...

Hi everyone, I have a redundant 1756-L71 (v24.52) system with a single remote rack. Diagram attached. The problem I'm seeing is about once every month or so we see multiple cards in the remote rack faulting. Some times it's as frequent as every other day, other times there's 2+ months between events. ...

Hi Bill, Are you by chance opening the software locally then accessing it via remote desktop? I've noticed when I open Studio on my laptop, then RDP into it from my main PC I'll see what you're describing until I restart the software. That seems to be something Microsoft hasn't perfected with monitor ...

Thanks, Phillip. I did open a ticket and they also recommended a firmware upgrade to v11.003 (latest). By the way, existing firmware was 10.7.217021900, hardware rev 3.1. ------------------------------ Michael Miller ------------------------------

Good afternoon, Today I found a faulted 1756-EN2TR/C (v3.001) that displayed the message "Cycle Power to Unit Assert in File DummyFaultListener.cpp line 172." I was able to power cycle the entire chassis and replace the 1756-EN2TR to resolve the issue. Does anyone know what the message on the faulted ...

Hi Barry, I'd suggest using 1756-EN2TR cards in each cabinet, including your main panel with the 1756-L71. 1756-EN2TRs have two ports for DLR (device level ring), which is a redundant network solution. Keep the DLR ring isolated (EN2TR to EN2TR) and use your EN2T card to connect external networks. You'll ...

Hi, I have a collective FactoryTalk Historian SE v5.01 setup with a primary and secondary server. My PI ICU data interfaces are on other servers that communicate to specific ControlLogix PLCs. The problem I'm seeing is the servers with PI ICU will start buffering data due to a loss of communication ...

Todd, These logouts occur well after the client has initially been logged in, sometimes months later. How would this timeout issue affect a user who is already logged into a session? I am using Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard. Would you know if FactoryTalk SE v10 uses the Windows credential cache ...

Hi Todd, Thanks for the feedback. I do see a couple strange event logs on the RDS server that match the thin manager event time. Application event says "The Desktop Window Manager has exited with code (0xd00002fe)." And a system event says "A logon cache entry for user xyz was the oldest entry ...
